Joseph had his bag searched because he forgot that he had honey in his bag.. oh well. We left SFO via Singapore airlines at 12:30. We ran into some major turbulence in the first 3 hours of the trip. We watched movies for most of the trip. We all agreed that Click (Adam Sandler) was a great movie.
We arrived on time at the Seoul Airport 14 hours later (6:15 pm). We were picked up by Joseph's Aunt and 2 cousins.
We were taken to a motel about 1 hour away from the airport. We got hooked up on a deal (35 dollars per night). We got dressed to go out because another aunt was coming and we would go out to eat with them.
The dinner was Korean BBQ (SCORE!) One of Joseph's cousins, Ki Young, couldn't make it because he was with his friends (drinking). We were doing drinking of our own at the restaurant with Joseph's aunts (don't forget to face away when drinking!) We ate our meal and was then taken to meet Ki Young and his friends where they would take us out for more drinking.
We went down several flights of stairs to a bar and drank some more. The bar wasn't too bad.. we had this cereal, fruit in milk mixture and soju.. apparently we drink it too fast.. crazy americans. The place started to get pretty boring once the guy auction started. Apparently the girl auction is after the guy one.. but it just didn't seem like it was worth waiting for... because Ki Young wanted to take us to another place.
We ended up at a Norebang (Karaoke place) where the hite flowed like water. We were introduced to 3 camera shy girls.
We left and then were walked back to our motel. Joseph then wanted to go to a PC bang to check the internet.. but we only stayed a few minutes and then left. I think the night ended at about 4 am... Not bad for a first day.
